Schmuck & Klunker means "bling" (roughly, at least) in the Swiss version of German (schwizerdeutsch). All the rings are handcrafted and one-of-a-kind, like tiny sculptures for your finger. They each exist only once, carved from wax and then cast in sterling silver, which destroys the wax model.

When I'm carving the wax, I don't think too hard about making a particular shape, but just let it go where it goes. In most things I do I'm much more controlling than that, but these rings seem to come out of the flow. They often reference natural phenomena, but I name them after they are made, not before.
